Hi, I'm Mag!

Ever since I was little, I have spent my days doodling on notebook paper and designing fantasy creatures. I may have been too young to watch Alien or The Thing, but still I fell in love with hypothetical monsters and critters. To this day, I draw my inspiration from that childlike curiosity for the strange. I am inspired by movies, shows, and games that present impossible realities; in sum, I am passionate about making the unreal come to life.

Today, that outlet for my passion lies in 3D art and animation. There is nothing I love more than taking a project and helping the directors achieve their visions. Nothing feels better than coming back to a project lead and seeing them be amazed at how the work they know so well was transformed. I look to the real world for inspiration and reference, but I draw on concepts and ideas grounded in the fantastical, too. Animation has the power to control every aspect of the world because it can bring light to every perspective, no matter how small or marginalized. I lean into my role as a 3D artist to creatively enhance work into something unique -- something that only animation can achieve.
